Hi

Can someone please let me know if there is a method to export users from an existing SalesLogix DB and import to another empty/new SalesLogix database.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks

You can export the users into a CSV file then use the Import Users facility that is built into the WorkGroup Administrator. This facility and the layout of the CSV file is explained in the online help for the WorkGroup Administrator --invoke help and search for "Importing, users".

I've had to do this myself recently as part of a 6.2 to 7.5 migration. This query took a while to write, so figured I would post it here for all to use. If you set your results options in SQL Query Analyser to copy the column names and set results to grid, you can essentially run the query and copy and paste the results in to a CSV file.
