Global Replace for Leads?
Posted: 22 Feb 10 4:16 PM
I need to change account manager and owner on thousands of leads based on who they're already assigned to. However, I see the replace data feature only allows contacts, accounts, or opportunities, not leads. Am I missing an easy way to do this?

I am not familiar with any function that can globally change an account manager for Leads.
You do, however, mention something that you probably shouldn't be doing. You mentioned using the replace data feature to [assuming] change the account manager. There is a function in the SalesLogix Administrator designed specifically for changing the account manager and does all the work for you because it changes the manager at the account, contact and [open] opportunity levels.. You can find this function as "Realign Territories.." under the "Tools" menu. Once there, click the Help button to find out more about this function.
