I've a client company management buy out - breaking away from the parent company (parent company uses saleslogix).
The break away are only 4 or 5 staff & they intend running act for workgroups & would like to take their data with them.
Obviously CSV export on contacts is easy enough to get out of saleslogix & into ACT but they would like to export history & document attachments as well. Any ideas if/how this could be achieved ??? Are there any tools for data migration from SLX to ACT ???

Hi Andy , i have done imports from ACT to SLX , not the other way around.

With that said , i used a tool called scribe and then used the ACT adpater from Scribe which will nicely get all the joined data in tables from ACT to the slx tables. For you , you may have to do the opposite or use some load tool from ACT to be used with SLX.If you have any questions on how that data is mapped , let us know and we will jump in....

hope this helps!
