Anyone use this product or their Match tool? We just had a demo and it looks ok. If so can you compare against Paribus? I was pleasantly surprised at all the positive comments about Paribus here. I'm hoping someone has some input on this product also.

Thanks!

I have had the opportunity to use Match and Authentic8 from DQ Global and I can tell you that both apps are very good. They require a medium amount of technical ability to setup the tool and the matching events. Both tools to a good job of accomplishing there opbjectives. Unfortunatly I have not used Paribus so I cannot compare the two apps. Hope that helps. If you want to discuss this further, drop me a line.

I am the Director of Product Engineering here at QGate and it is my team that develop the Paribus product.
So whilst not wishing to shameless plug our product, please permit me to position some important aspects of Paribus regarding matching and merging data in SalesLogix.
The Paribus product suite provides two components in regards to SalesLogix:

First is the core Paribus product responsible for matching your SalesLogix data, this comes with a pre-defined "plug-n-go" set of Paribus definitions to automatically map Paribus onto SalesLogix. Naturally you can also easily extend upon this for any custom data you may wish to match upon. So installation and setup time is typically very quick and simple. Paribus can of course connect to other sources of data other than just your SalesLogix database.

Second is our dedicated "Paribus for SalesLogix" plug-in component that is designed specifically to merge and purge your matched SalesLogix Accounts and Contacts. This component connects directly to your SalesLogix database and will perform a "100%" data merge of your duplicate data. This includes ALL your 1-to-1 and 1-to-many related data, for both standard and custom database extensions.

All 1-to-1 data conflicts (e.g. differing phone numbers) are also safeguarded into our unique Paribus Data Repository, which appears as an additional Tab under your SalesLogix Accounts and Contacts. Thus guarantying you "100%" data merge capability.
The Paribus Data Repository feature provides a unique and effective way of handling mass data merging without the need to be selective on a case by case basis (an impractical proposition on large data clean-ups), whilst preserving all conflicting data for later analysis by Account managers (i.e. "Where's that phone number gone - oh there it is in the Paribus repository"). Naturally they then have the option to inherit this back into the Master account if they wish to
Finally the Paribus for SalesLogix plug-in also manages all data security issues and complex synchronisation issues that can occur whilst merge data in SalesLogix (more detail than is perhaps necessary to highlight at this time, however just to say that Paribus manages all of these issues).

The power of the Paribus for SalesLogix plug-in provides many in-depth features beyond the standard SalesLogix merge facility, and whilst a "nice enough" product feature, the SalesLogix merge facility does fall short of addressing all the above mentioned issues, it will loose data, and it will cause synchronised losses and orphaned data.
So please be wary of any match and merge products that utilise the standard SalesLogix merge capability, as these will inherit such limitations.

I hope this provides a suitable understanding of how Paribus and the Paribus for SalesLogix component will achieve your goal and "secure 100% of your data!".

I appreciate this opportunity to position our product.

Regards,
Mark Cooper
Director of Product Engineering

Mark,

I appreciate your input, even if it is a shameless plug. LOL Paribus is already a strong contender for us. Our BP suggested the DQ products so we are doing due diligence.
