I don't know what it is with the changes SLX development has been making but they do not make sense. Mainly I am talking of the new contact 'Marketing' tab that replaced the 6.2.1 campaign response grid. Version 6.2.1 is the version we upgraded from to 7.0.1, so we did not have any of the in between versions. Apparently this was a bad idea because we found out some marketing changes weren't included in the 6.2.x to 7.0 upgrade. One instance is a script that copied the campaign responses from one table to another. If you upgraded right from 6.2.1 to 7.0 this script was not part of that upgrade path. Back to the 'Marketing' tab.

If you by mistake select the wrong contact to add a marketing response you can not delete the record! If you select 'Delete Response' it doesn't seem to do anything. And there is another option in the pop-up menu called 'Remove from Campaign'. All this does is change the response status to 'Removed'. I just want to get rid of the record because it doesn't belong there!!! Ugh!

Is there anyway to permanently remove a marketing response from a contact? Why would this be changed? Seems like lately SLX development is making technical changes that don't consider the business.

Yes, I agree that the new design sucks, but it does make some sense. They merged two tabs referencing two separate tables to one tab referencing two NEW separate tables. Joy of all Joys!

I do think it is easier to maintain the list now instead of having to flip between the tabs.

With every SLX "enhancement" comes some frustration. Case-in-point - Activity Reminder!!! Alright, for that one comes LOTS AND LOTS of frustration!

Talk to ya later - btw - did ya get my link about the Peacocks! See, I wasn't that far off - it is an album name at least!
