My boss wants me to hire someone as a consultant and train me a little bit in SalesLogix. We need to create groups, tabs that can be accessed by security groups and some various other things as well. I'd like for someone to come in and take a look at our system and train me a little. Price is negotiable as well as time available to do the training.

A little info about our system:
Upgraded to 7.2
We have a few custom applications
SQL 2000 (will be upgrading to 03 or 08, but not for a while)

You can reach me at rmahmoodi at psamerica dot com and I'll email you my phone number.

I'm trying to take the training class, but at the moment it's not possible.

Thanks!

Ramin,

I do not know if Ryan Farley gives end user training but he would be a good one to ask as he is not far from you. I cannot recommend him enough for his SalesLogix knowledge.

Hello Ramin,

I do SalesLogix development training quite often, although never in person. I do it via online meetings instead and find that to be more successful as we can take things in chunks instead of a couple of days straight and have only a small percentage of it actually stick.

I do not do any user training myself - I'm not really qualified, I don't use too much of SLX personally other than to build, test, research what I need for various customizations. However, I do have a new community site that I've quietly launched dedicated to end-user and administrator training for SalesLogix. It is a free site, just like this one, just a community for anyone to participate in (although I'm really only active on it behind the scenes in building the site and the direction for content, etc). The site is live now and we'll be making announcements soon. This site is called "Good Training for SalesLogix" and can be found here http://www.goodtraining.com/ The Good Training site, instead of articles, has regular instructor-led training sessions in smaller, specialized topics. See list, along with scheduled workshops here: http://www.goodtraining.com/workshops/default.aspx Any previously held workshops are recorded and availabe here as well: http://www.goodtraining.com/files/26/default.aspx The site also has forums where end-users & administrators can ask questions to a certified SLX instructor or just have discussions with others in the community. If it is end-user & general SLX usage training you need this site can give a lot to you for free. Keep in mind, the Good Training site isn't for technical content, that is what this site is for . The certified SLX trainer on the Good Training site is someone that also works for my company and is available for custom or individual training as well if needed. If you're brand new to SLX, this can sometimes be a very helpful thing to have one-on-one time with someone to show you the "in's and out's".

But really, for training, it's not really necessary to be in person now days anyway, I've not held classroom training sessions now for quite some time now. I'll contact you privately to discuss if I can help further.
