Today , I have gone through an unexpected error while working on SalesLogix client.
The SalesLogix service is crashed on my machine(for the unknown reason) which ,in turn ,crashed the SalesLogix Client on all machine . Evertime I open the SLX Client , it starts the debugger and non of the Client component(form,meny,tabbs,reports etc) is accessible
It took couple of hours to figure out the real cause.And finally, with the help of our System Admin we were able to resolve the issue.
Here is the issue and fix(as described by our System administrator):
Issue:
Unable to work with saleslogix client. Every time debugger was opening while try to open the saleslogic client from any of the saleslogix client installed PC's. Though connectivity was okay between saleslogix client and saleslogix server.

Cause of the Issue:
On a particular machine saleslogix client service was deleted due to unknown reason. After effect, some entries related to client corruption were recorded in the saleslogix database which is installed on other machine(DB Server). We used our another backup saleslogix server to find the exact issue.

Resolved:
Restored last night backup on main DB Server. No previous development work activities was lost due to database restoration.

After restoring the Database Synchronization between saleslogix client and saleslogix server was done and then everything is working.

What you did was enable the debugger always (as opposed to OnError). You could used Admin to open the user concerned and switched off the option (rather than a restore!).

Mike- Actually I found this option (later) in the SLX Administrator.
