Posting Etiquette

All:
Including slxdeveloper.com, there are at least two places on the public internet to post SLX dev/admin questions plus a private area for Sage business partners. I know that a lot of people read & post in all three places.
There is a tendancy for those deparate for an answer to a problem they are having to post all over the place, but at the same time, it is irritating for other people to read the same posts in multiple places. And if you are interested in a particular issue, you want to either find the issue and read everyone's input on it, or not find it and look in the next place. You don't want to study three or more very similar message threads in different places to make sure you gotten all the information.
So is there any etiquitte on what should be posted on slxdeveloper.com, what is for ittoolbox and and what should be on the BP newsgroups?

This is just going to get worse (or better depending on your perspective). For example, more and more people are blogging and using social media to communicate.
I dont think there is an etiquette for WHERE you should post questions. With a website like SLXDeveloper I kindly suggest that there is no need to post the same question to different forums. However, I don't think there is anything wrong with posting the question to different "venues" as not everyone subscibes to all of them.
We had a lengthy discussion on etiquette within the private BP newsgroup. I do feel it is proper etiquette to be a contributing member if you are going to ask for help. This can be as simple as confirming that someone's suggestion did in fact help you. It is also great to share your solution even if you figured it out via other means. As we all know, it is aggravating to find that someone has posted an issue we are experiencing and to find the thread dead ends.
Just my two cents...

I think if you have only posted to a couple places looking for help then you should at least share the solution with all the places you posted or link to the other forum thread (if possible).
If you are posting to more than two or three then:
1) It's unlikely that you'd remember all the places you posted your question
2) It's not productive for you to post the answer to all those places. The question was productive, sharing the answer isn't (from a strictly business perspective)
3) You are not good with the Internet. Pick a community or two that you trust and stick with them.
