MS Word menus disabled when writing templates
Posted: 22 Sep 10 12:15 PM
I have a user who is the admin of his workstation and a domain admin. Whenever he edits a template in 7.5 the file menu is available, but the other MS Word menus can't be accessed. You can click on them but it doesn't allow you to open the menus. Has anyone seen this issue. I created a new profile for myself on the same PC and was able to access the menus without a problem. Thanks!

Hi,
Ive had this in the past and the below resolution resolved the issue for me.
Rename the Normal.dot file for Microsoft Word.
Search for the file Normal.dot (the default location is C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates)
Rename the existing file to Normal.dot.old
Refresh the client
Open a template for editing
