I'm not asking anyone to break non-disclosers or speculate. I'm just asking if anyone has heard if SalesLogix has put an official release date on SLX7? We aren't currently working with a reseller so that's not an avenue for me.

Thanks!

Marc

It's currently in RC2 stage and several of us are putting it into production on selected customer sites (as well as in our own businesses).

There can't be an official word (in a forum!) - however, expect it to be released Aug 31 for download with delivery 2 weeks following (once DVDs have been cut) to customers.

Bub,

I received a call from SLX customer support about a month ago asking to verify contact and address information. The impression that I was given is 7.0 would be released this Fall - which gives a timeframe. And I would hope to have 7.0 in my hands before the Sage Summit which is happening in the beginning of November.

The reason I ask is that i've been given Aug/Sept as a time frame and now that is looking dubious. I'm hoping to have my hands around a "final" copy as soon as possible so I can begin developing my customs for it. We are hoping to migrate to 7.0 (go live) in late Feb, early March 07, but the longer it's not in my hands the great possibility that those dates are not going to be attainable. Between development, migration and training I want as much time as possible.

But like Vista, i'd rather wait and have it when it's "DONE" rather than end up having to apply a bunch of patches for the first couple months to sort out bugs that didn't squashed during QA/Beta testing. (Hopefully SLX7 will run under Vista too as 6.2.4 doesnt)

6.2.4 does work on Vista (contact me for details) but you should be able to download v7 very soon. You can download now (if you were part of beta) which would enable you to start work on customisations - as they will carry fwd.
