Does anyone know if v7 will have any integration with SharePoint web services or to web parts?

It would be great if the Library was moved there - better versioning and control.

I absolutely agree. I would love it if the whole attachment thing was done via custom providers so we could replace the built in one with our own. But sadly, it is not. SLX v7 will not have anything built in for this. I've started making my own replacement attachments functionality for SharePoint, who knows if I'll ever finish it or not (guess that depends on whether any of my customers want it for $$$ ). Problem is that there are so many places to change and some things (such as Outlook Integration) that you just can't get to. So it is difficult, if not impossible, to do it 100% (unless you have a server process that "syncs" the SLX attachments with SPS)

From what I hear from development of v8, they are trying to go as much with the provider model as possible. Any hope for a quick and easy way to replace 100% attachment functionality to be all SharePoint integrated will have to wait til then.

As far as web parts, that's not too bad to put together for displaying etc, however, adding new attachments that need to sync is not possible without a call to Application.BasicFunctions.LogSendFileAttachment (which requires a running client - ie: not available from the server-side calls on a web app).
