Erratic behavior in groups

fiogf49gjkf0d I am running version 6.2.3 Hotfix 8 and we have only recently began to experience erratic behavior in groups. Things such as date fields subtracting four hours in the group display (but not in the database) when you click on the scroll bar. Incorrect results for the criteria set forth, until you click on a field in the group to sort. Our business partner is telling us we need to upgrade to SP4 to resolve. Has anyone else recently experienced erratic group behavior? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Question:
Is this display discrepancy due to changes you made on the data?
In SLX, groups tend not to be refreshed automatically, so if for instance you make a change on a given record (or if other users/processes make changes), Save it and switch to List view, the change will not be reflected until you do something that refreshes the view. If this group uses the Virtual Cursors I would see why a resort requires a refresh, and as such brings in newly updated data with it.

fiogf49gjkf0d We had been experiencing incorrect filtering of group data in opportunities when you added fields from the account level to the group. We solved this with hotfix3 for version 6.2.3 so I would think that you have already applied that one if you haven't then that may be the issue. Look at two files: SLXDBEngine.dll and SLXOLEDB.dll the version should be 6.2.3.1109 or greater to fix this issue. Hope that helps you it caused us several hours of trouble . ML |
