I have run into issues with the synchronization function in the Outlook Integration feature between SLX v7 and Microsoft Outlook 2003 sp2. I have read in forums and spoke to my BP regarding the issue of setting up the synchronization feature using "SyncSalesLogix" filter, creating this choice in the Master Category List in Outlook, etc. and user are still having non-SyncSalesLogix contacts carried over into SLX. I have been told to let the contacts live in SLX and use the Export feature for the Outlook Integration function only.

Can someone explain why, who is at fault (if any), third-party software to perform this functionality, a fix, custom script, etc.

Employer's not happy because this is a major reason why SLX was purchased.

Thanks much!

Intellisync built this connector and are the ones to blame. For now you will have to continue to use the SYNCSALESLOGIX filter along with the ADD CONTACT(S) TO OUTLOOK button, as you said - allowing the contacts to live in SLX. Besides, this gives the user control of which contacts are sync'd with Outlook.
