Hi all, I might be flogging a dead horse here but hopefully someone using this forum might use taskcentre. Basically its new to me and I've had a problem when inserting a date (from a field in a query) into an email (Send Message SMTP task), it formats as month/day/year and I want it to format in day/month/year format. I've used TO_DATE to format the date at query level but it still formats in the month/day/year format when the e-mail is sent out, please help!

Is this from a Query (using the query tool)?

If so, you need to make a change in your connection. Go into the connection at teh global level and go to teh SQL tab.. change the date format there.
I'd suggest you also contact the TaskCentre Certified Consultant that sold you TC and ask them teh question as well.. They should have been providing suypport to you.. you DID make a support arrangement with them.. didn't you?

Hi Bob,

Cheers for your response, I've sorted this now, I write pure SQL so I just formatted the date to a string within the statement to stop it changing the date format. Our support company is somewhat shocking so I thought I'd post it here as well because I tend to get more useful feedback
