Trend Report in Crystal
Posted: 12 Sep 07 1:47 PM
I am in the process of creating a new Crystal Report in XI.. I have a table that captures the actual status of an item each time it changes..
I am collecting the change of the field as .. Changed_From and Changed_To along with the date.. I'd like to take the last change and then based upon the values display either an Up arrow or down arrow.. so if my data row looked like:
09/11/2007 | 3 | 4 |--- I would display an Up arrow because it changed from a 3 to a 4..
How would I accomplish this in the crystal report

Ok Found out how to handle this.. thought it might be worth while for someone else...
Create a formula - call it Change Value - to subtract the two values {Changed From} - {Changed To} Then Create an alerter on the Change Value and if negative, display a down arrow character - probably a wingding font and if positive - display an up arrow - or whatever logic is correct.
if(Changed_To - Changed_From>0,"h","i")
the values "h" and "i
" in Wingdings 3 font is Up and Down arrows respectively..
