I have created a new custom form in SalesLogix 6.2.3, and inserted a print button to call a custom report. I am using the PrintDetail function that I found in one of the existing SalesLogix scripts, and it works fine to call the report. However, I would like to send parameters (company name and product) to the report. These parameters would be read from text boxes on the custom form.

Does anyone have experience doing this with the PrintDetail function, or any other available function? Is there any available documentation for the PrintDetail function?

You can add Report Condition via a script that is called from the WhenOpen action of the report.

To access this Run the Architect, then select Manage Reports, then select the report, then click the Edit Reports Properties icon, then select the Execution Tab.

Thank you for the reply Frank. I didn't realize that all of those options existed. I can see some future uses for that information, but this time I decided to use a single record print table. I store the current information into the single record when the user clicks the print button, and use that table in my record selection formula for the report. It works like a charm.

Make sure your print table can handle the situation of 2 workgroup users requesting the report at the same time.
