Automating Reports

fiogf49gjkf0d Not sure if this should go in this forum, but since it is about reports I thought I would start here.
Has anyone had any success automating reports from the administrator using agents. I am using SQL Server and on SLX version 6.2.3. When I define a new agent whose parameters is to send a crystal report as PDF out it runs but I don't get anything. I have checked the sync logs and the agent does run.
I have installed Outlook on the sync server.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Steve

fiogf49gjkf0d What happens if you create an Agent to send the crystal report as a TEXT file? |

fiogf49gjkf0d I set the output to be sent as ASCII. The agent ran but nothing was sent. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi Steve, Are the Outlook Collaboration Data Objects installed? Go to Add/Remove Programs, select MS Office, then change, add/remove features, and click the "plus" sign next to Outlook to expand the list to verify if it is installed. Regards, Tim |

fiogf49gjkf0d Is Outlook running when you attempt to run the agent? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Outlook as an application is installed and configured on the sync server box. However, the application is not physically running when the agent starts. Are you saying that it needs to be active or wouldn't the agent start the collaboration services if it needed.
Thanks, Steve
