Documentation on SLX crystal interface
Posted: 05 Nov 08 4:28 PM
I was wondering if there is any documentation on SLX specific information for crystal. I've worked with crystal before but don't see how the filters and parameters work. For example on the standard reports how is the current user passed to the report or how are date parameters used as filters. I have had a look in the architect and modified a report but still not sure of the filters.
Thanks in advance
Derek

There's some info in the Architect help file....
Sage SalesLogix does not modify Crystal at all. It's an "OEM" package they re-distribute and have made provisions for it to hook to the SalesLogix Database vis the SalesLogix "Provider".. rather than directly. When you run a report, have the SalesLogix profiler open and you can see just what the provider is doing to the SQL.
Parameters are no different w/SalesLogix than any other system.
