Hi
Am currently using SalesLogix 6.2.4
Creating new reports in Crystal reports directly the majority of the time but when I have perfected the reports I then go to add them to the front end via Architect
Have registered my crviewer dll
I can open them in Architect but when I go the front end application, I am getting the error "cr_server_not_yet_been_opened"
Has anyone any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
Does anyone have any documentation other than the standard SalesLogix documentation and help files on using Crystal Reports in SLX
Regards
Carol

Are you trying to access the reports from the SalesLogix Network Client, or the WebClient?

What version fof Crystal did you use to develop the reports?

I have never seen this error, but it feels like it may be a connection issue.

Open the report from the Architect, when Crystal comes up select menu "Database --> Convert Database Driver..." and reconfigure the report to use the OLEDB driver. When the connection dialog comes up make sure you select the SalesLogix OLEDB Provider connection to your database, and make sure your TEST the connection.

I was able to reproduce this error. I created a report that connected to SalesLogix throught an ODBC connection, then used the Architect to make the report availiable to SalesLogix. When I tried to run the report in SalesLogix I got the error.

Next, I reset the connection to the "pdsoledb.dll [OLEDB] driver", making sure to point the report at my database throught the SalesLogix OLEDB provider (making sure to select the SalesLogix OLEDB Provider and the proper database). The report now works fine.
