Reporting Error – Sample Report returning OLE DB connection error

We are running 7.0 and just updated to SP2. We have always run into the following error when attempting to run any of the Tickets Sample reports.
“Unable to retrieve the report. The report cannot make an OLE DB connection. Please contact your administrator.”
We were told by Sage that this error would be fixed when we update to SP2 and after running the update we are actually able to get most of the reports to work every once in a while. But the majority of the time all reports still inconsistently return the same OLE DB connection error and four reports never work, always returning this same error. These reports are all the Sample Reports which came with SalesLogix and I would expect them to open without error consistently.
Can anyone offer some suggestions as to how we can figure out why we are encountering this error and possibly repair it?
