Failed to Retrieve data from the database.
Posted: 03 Mar 09 12:15 PM
Hi,
I am getting this error : Crystal Viewer Error: Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 828] when I run the report on SalesLogix client. The report runs fine by itself in the crystal reports. I have two reports in saleslogix which give this error- and both of them run fine when run through the crystal reports. I checked the datasource and it looks fine. Does anyone have any suggestions where to look for or how to resolve this issue?
Thansk,
Sundari

Does your report access data from more than one database?
Did you develop the report from scratch in Crystal? If so, compare the design of your report (specifically the datasource stuff and provider used) with one that works and see whether you can spot any differences.

Thanks Phil!
I appreciate your input.
The report acces data from one database only.
I did not create the report - I was given to put it into SALESlOGIX by other team. I checked the datasource again and made sure it is pointing to the correct database and the report is working now.
