Slx web reporting portal 7.5.1 hangsYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Experiencing daily problems with the web reporting portal 7.5.1. After an unpredictable period of good functioning, the web reporting portal will suddenly hang and subsequent attempts to select and run reports are simple not responded to. No entries in the event log. After running IISRESET on the report server normal report processing resumes.

We ran Microsoft's DebugDiag 1.1 tool and we were able to capture a hang and run the diagnostic reports. Of immediate interest in those reports was the following (which seems to point to SLXWR.dll as the culprit):

Detected a serious critical section related problem in w3wp.exe__SLX Web Reporting

Lock(s) at ntdll!LdrpLoaderLock owned by thread 17 is/are Deadlocked through a COM call to
thread 20 which is in turn waiting on a critical section owned by thread 17.

The entry-point function for a dynamic
link library (DLL) should perform only
simple initialization or termination tasks,
however this thread (17) is using RPC
functions. Follow the guidance in the
MSDN documentation for DllMain to
avoid access violations and deadlocks
while loading and unloading libraries.
Please follow up with the vendor Sage
Software, Inc. for C:\Program
Files\SalesLogix\SLXWR.dll

Anyone else having issues with 7.5.1 web reporting? Or ideas about what might be wrong here?

Thanks,
Doug
