You can now install Crystal Reports on a 64 bit Windows 2008 Server. You need to install SP4 of Crystal Reports in order to get it to work. You can obtain this version either from your BP or Sage. I have it installed and working fine. |

Can you confirm that you have installed SP4? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Yes, SP4 is installed. I cannot start the "Report Application Server" Because of missing "ntlmssp". I'm nes on Server 2008 (R2). So is there a Chance to get this service installed or that report application server running without that sevice called "ntlmssp"? . At the moment the following state: I can choose a report, i click on "view". Then the mask is shown wich details i want to have in my report. i scroll to the bottm of the page and press the "ok" button to show the report itselfe.
by the way. i'm testing with ie8. could it be that the report server tries to run some kind of activx witch could be blocked by domain policity? |

fiogf49gjkf0d The Report Application Server will not start until you remove the depency.
Here is what you need to do to remove the deprecated dependency.
1. Open Crystal Reports Server (Start>All Programs>Business Objects)
2. Click Central Configuration Manager.
3. Right-click Report Application Server.
4. Click Properties.
5. Click Dependency.
6. Select NtLmSsp.
7. Click Remove.
8. Click Apply, and then click OK.
9. Close the application by clicking the X button in the upper right corner.
10. Reboot the server.

Hii Bill,
I have tried Installing the only given install files from our Sage Support and when installing Crystal Reports XI, (Before the SP4) it will not install. Are you saying there is a Crystal Reports XI install with SP4 in one?
Thanks

fiogf49gjkf0d Let me clarify something here:
The problem with Installing Crystal Report on a 64 Bit Windows 2008 Server (the Alphanumeric error) relates to the "x86" on the Program Files path for 32 bit components and it is caused by existing Crystal Applications.
The solution is to Install Crystal Reports before installing any of the SalesLogix Components.
If you have already installed SalesLogix (or other Apps that install Crystal Components) you could remove them, then Install Crystal Reports first and then proceed with the SLX Items.
I have had done this many times, and it has worked every single time. |
