SSRS 2008

I'm experimenting with creating SLX reports in SSRS 2008.
I can create a data source through the SLX Provider and successfully test it, but when I open the query builder it crashes VS 2008. I have created reports using Windows Authentication and with the sysdba login.
Can I create a report using the SLX Provider security enabled? |

Update:
I have found that I can run reports through the SLX Provider if I write the SQL Select statement manually or copy & past it from some other tool. But the SSRS Query Builder crashes VS every time when launched through the Provider. So it is possible to build reports for SLX, just more cumbersome than it should be.

Hi Dan, have you worked out what the difference is between the two SQL statements? Is it maybe to do with the SYSDBA prefix being added by SSRS? |

Don't think so. When I connect through SQL Client as sysdba, the query builder builds the statement correctly and the report runs (although without SLX Team security applied). When I connect through the SLX Provider, it crashes once I click the query builder button, before I've had a chance to select the tables.

Ah yes, that rings a bell, now you mention it. The query builder stuff does not seem to be supported by the SLX provider - doesn't work in 2005 either. |
