I am trying to get my hands around some definitive information on running Crystal Reports Server on Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit). I've read install Crystal Report Server SP4 on a 64-bit system and it'll work. But the reference is generic and does not specifically state "Windows Server 2008 R2".

I've used the SAP Business Objects/Crystal Reports site (which is probably the worse site I've ever encountered for support and info in general). All references I could find indicate NO services packs make Crystal Server work with Windows Server 2008. Hence my confusion and curiosity as to what people are doing for it to work and has it been thoroughly tested - the later being the major concern.

Being able to run one report doesn't constitute for me it works. What happens in a full production environment?

John

I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit as my Web Reporting Server. You need SP4 of Crystal Reports and just install this file. If you have a previous version, uninstall it first.
