Scheduling Reports

fiogf49gjkf0d We are running SLX v6.24 and I've found a reference in the help file about scheduling a report (as the Admin) but cannot find any other details on this. Is this handled through a contact process? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Where in SLX help did you find this? Also, was it found in the Client, Administrator or Architect help? As for a process, you can create a step that will print a report. I don't think you can schedule a process to run automatically. Maybe if you assign the process to a contact where there is a delay in one of the steps and then when it was done it called itself again? This doesn't seem practical because it sounds like there be alot of CPU time taken up monitoring (eg. counting down the time) the process to execute the next step.

fiogf49gjkf0d John, I found the following text in the file at c:\Program Files\SalesLogix\reportmanager.chm
Receive scheduled reports – If you are a Remote user (applies to the SalesLogix Client only) you may want to run a report that includes data you do not have access to on your local database. You can ask your system administrator to schedule the report for you so that it will be e-mailed to you during your next synchronization cycle. |
