Ok I'm past frustrated now. We bought iReports from our business partner and out of the box it works reasonably well but there doesn't seem to be anyone who can provide 'iReports' documentation/support.

I was able to download Qlikview documentation but it's generic and doesn't have any focus on the iReports configuration. So far it's been more like reading a VB manual to try to figure out how to use an application written in VB.

I've called both my business partner and SalesLogix and they both keep passing the buck.

Can anyone here give me a hand or point me in the right direction?

I checked all the usual partner places, put a post in the business partner newsgroups. Either 1) There is no documentation or 2) No one knows anything about it.

Probably 1.

The Sage acquisition of iReports is fairly recent. My guess is that documentation will be coming at some point. I'll keep a look out for it.

OK Mark,

Another BP sent this to me. Looks like it might have a few useful docs in it . For now, I'll provide the link here. I'll have to find out if it's OK for me to post "officially" on the site later.

Have fun!

Sage now owns the iReports intellectual property lock, stock, and barrel and is in the process of "internallizing" it. There will be announcements on this around Insights time.

Thanks guy, especially you Ryan, I'm sure ANY docs will be better than nothing at this time.

I appreciate the scope of what SalesLogix support/development and even you BPs have to go through with these products when they are added without or with limited resources. We were sold a bill of goods without support basically and my boss was hammering on me to get it working. Never a fun situation to be in.

RJ,

When is Insights? That's the BP conference right? I know my boss and I are planning on heading to Chicago in the fall but we can't sit on our hands that long.

Correct - Insights is just for Sage Partners.. of ALL types.
I'm going down on Sunday May 13th to get started on the beer consumption process
It's Officially from May 14th thru 17th (Mon-Thurs).

BTW.. Under the NEW Sage Partner agreement (this is the new one that came out a couple of months ago) for ALL types of partners, EVERY Partner must attend once every other year or will loose their partnership (the right to sell, etc...)

I have seen the recent marketing for the now formerly known as iReports program. Has Sage/SalesLogix gotten their act together in terms of supporting it yet? We pretty much have given up until the smoke clears.

BTW I heard about the background on the whole 'acquisition' of iReports and now I understand better why there has been a dead period for supporting the product. We purchased it right before that happened.
