I'm testing my upgrade to v 7.0 and am having problems with the When Open script that runs when a report is run.

Here's the situation. I have a custom form that allows a user to select certain filters and then pass them to the crystal reports they are running. I attached the form to the When Open event in the reports manager. These work just fine in 6.2.4 but once I upgraded to 7.0, no mas. Nothing happens at all, and i've modified the script to simply popup a message box and this doesn't even happen. So my question is, does anyone have these scripts working properly in a 7.x enviorment? I just want to know that there is a configuration problem or something that i can fix and that it's not a model issue.

Thanks,
Zeph

Zeph:

I have just recently finished working with a Report that invoked a FORM directly from the When Open on Version 7.0.1. Granted, it wasn't an upgraded report, but I didn't have any issues attaching either VB or the Form directly to the event.

I would suggest that you try adding a new report natively on version 7, then attaching a simple script to the When Open to determine if it is indeed firing.

You may also launch the SLX Profiler to see if SLX attempts to load the Plugin from the When Open event.
