I have helped a client develop a HUGE report with many charts and graphs and staging tables to make the whole thing work. The report ran fabulously in 6.2, now after the upgrade. the report prints fine ONLY IN CRYSTAL... when we bring it into SLX... it fails to run (actually it will print pages 1-2 or pages 1-5 then prints nothing). The printer will say the report is still spooling, but we get nothing and end up having to END TASK the report.

Anybody seen similar behavior after the upgrades? Any fixes, very frustrating for us and our client (and I just spent about 10 hrs trying to figure it out).

My only thought now is to start pulling subreports out of the report until it starts to run again. Hopefully someone has already run across this issue.

Thanks!

Ron,
First, you will have to "relocate" your report. Check it out of the Slx Report Manager, invoke the CRW Designer/Editor. Click on the "Database" menu and select the location option. In your Slx 6.2 to 7.0 Upgrade documentation is a full procedure for handling this relocation task.

Upgrading CRW reports is necessary due to Slx/OLE-DB changes. Also, has your database schema changed and/or table joins been changed.
