Hi,

I am very new to SalesLogix but have report developemnt knowledge in Crystal reports.
Let me start listing my questions:

1. How is Crystal reports product integrated with SalesLogix
2. The database that we connect to create Crystal report in Crystal report designer and the database
connection used in SalesLogix, are they same
Let me briefly know the steps to create a Crystal report through SalesLogix
3. If I want to view a report in iReport then does it connect to the Crystal report database or SalesLogix database

Any inputs to my above questions would be of great help.

Thanks and Regards,
Shantala.

Based on your questions:
A - I'd first suggest you read the SalesLogix Documentation
B - Take a course in SalesLogix Development.

You "launch" Crystal Reports designer via the SalesLogix Architect (it's in the help file). The actual reports are stored in the SalesLogix DB as plugins.

Connection is to the SalesLogix "Provider"

iReports has nothing to do W/Crystal and has been re-named and will be re-released by Sage SalesLogix (they own it 100%) in the near future.
