Mail Merge Error

| When user selects Write > Letter Using template > [template] > The Mail Merge Process appears to work then pop-up with error "The mail merge engine has encountered an error and cannot continue. The main table query is empty." I have checked the contact & address tables for bad data with no luck. Any help with this would be much appreciated!! Thank you! Crystal |

I've not run into that exact error. Where version of SLX are you using? What version of Office?
There are a couple other places you can look.
Were any SLX mail merge fields added when the mail merge template was created? If not, add a blank SLX mail merge field like contact.userfield9 or something you know will be blank for all contacts.
Make sure Word is closed down before starting the mail merge. Check the Windows Task Manager for any 'stray' WINWORD.EXEs and end task them if you find any.

| Hey I am having the same issue as are others in my company. It is very random and not very often. However, it is something we would like to know what the "magic bullet" is to fix the issue. Any ideas would be most helpful. Thanks! |

| You might want to run the integrity checker. I believe that one of the requirements is that all Account and Contact must have address records that points back to them. For example, A contact with and address record that points to an account on the entityid will fail. |
